Red Rock Medication Assisted Treatment in partner with SWOSU, SWODA, Indian Health Service, OBN, DEA, and the Elk City, SWOSU and Yukon Police Departments has announced a joint Drug Take Back Day taking place on Saturday, October 28.
According to a press release, there will be three locations set up in the region where one can drop off unused, unwanted, and expired medications. Officials said both prescription and over-the-counter medications in their original containers will be accepted, however no sharps or aerosols will be accepted.
The three locations participating in the drop off include the Arrowhead Center in Elk City, the Weatherford campus of SWOSU on the south side of the Clock Tower, and at 1010 Garth Brooks Boulevard in Yukon.
