The Elk City Police Department has updated the public of the ongoing investigation into a recent burglary.

In a Facebook post on the ECPD’s page, officials announced that during the course of the investigation into the burglary that occurred at a home on McArthur Boulevard, investigators did develop a suspect and have conducted multiple search warrants on the residence of 33-year-old Bryan Pfeil of Clinton and multiple storage units that he had in Elk City.

The post stated that at this time, the department has recovered some of the stolen property but still have a majority of stolen property still unaccounted for that includes a large number of firearms.

Police ask that anyone that has purchased or was with Pfeil when he sold firearms to come forward. ECPD says the firearms have been entered into the database as stolen with their serial numbers and they would like to try and prevent an arrest of someone who thought they were buying a legal firearm.

Police say the suspect’s vehicle has been seized and has felony warrants for his arrest. A check of court records show Pfeil has outstanding warrants dating back to 2019, with the most recent one connected to charges of knowingly concealing stolen property, possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction and even child neglect.

In the post, ECPD added that anyone that is assisting him or hiding Pfeil, that they are committing a crime by harboring a fugitive which is a felony in the State of Oklahoma.

Officials say if anyone has any information on Pfeil’s whereabouts to contact their local law enforcement or ECPD at 580-225-1212 or contact Captain Sammy Weygand at weygand@elkcity.com.
