A Strong City man is in critical condition after the bulldozer he was operating rolled off a hill and pinned his legs in Roger Mills County.

According to a report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred Monday morning around 11:30 in a rural part of the county north and west of Cheyenne when the 2013 John Deere D850 Bulldozer driven by 59-year-old Jeffery N. Hensley rolled off the hill and rolled 2 1/4 times while backing off the hill.

During the roll, Troopers said Hensley was partially ejected and his legs were pinned underneath the large machine.

Hensley was taken to Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City and later transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in critical condition with head and leg injuries.

OHP said the exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.

In a separate accident on Monday, a Mustang man was also placed in the hospital in critical condition after apparently losing control of his vehicle during icy weather.

According to the OHP collision report, 62-year-old Shawn P. Zeneski was admitted into OU Medical Center with head injuries after rolling a 2003 Chevrolet pickup on icy roads on a county road near Oakwood in Dewey County.

Troopers reported that Zeneski was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected after the pickup rolled 1 ½ times.
