Statewide Candidates Filing Begins Wednesday

Voting officials have announced that statewide election activity officially begins at 8a.m., Wednesday when the filing period opens.

Filing closes on Friday, April 15. Potential candidates will be allowed to file between 8a.m. and 5p.m., Wednesday through Friday.

Officials said candidates for state offices must file with the Secretary of the State Election Board while candidates for county offices must file with the Secretary of the County Election Board.
