Campaigns Develop in Western Oklahoma

Filing for offices throughout the state continued on Thursday.

As of Thursday afternoon a race has developed in Beckham County for the county assessor position. Jonathan Beck has filed for the seat. Kayla York declared her intention to run for the seat on Wednesday.

In Washita County there will be an election held for the county commissioner seat in district 3 between Floyd King and Greg Chandler who also filed on Thursday.

Staying in Washita County Sherry Nightengale has filed and remains the loan candidate for the county treasurer position.

The filing deadline was at 5p.m.
