Suspected Mail Thief Arrested in Beckham Co.

The Beckham County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a suspected mail thief and are asking that any potential victim to contact them.

Through a message issued through the office’s app, it was indicated that deputies made the arrest Tuesday night regarding the thefts from mailboxes in rural Beckham County, and they are working to match up more names of victims with the thefts.

Officials urge anyone that feels that they were a victim of the crime, to contact the Sheriff’s Department at (580) 928-2121.

Officials said they will need the name of the victim, approximate time and date of the thefts, the mailing address, contact phone number, and the type of mail believed to have been tampered with or stolen.

The name of the suspect arrested has not been released – pending charges.

Sayre, OK – A coordinated response between local law enforcement agencies helped prevent a potentially dangerous situation in Beckham County, according to Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning. Sheriff Manning said his office assisted the Mangum Police Department
