After shutting down the Beckham County Courthouse Wednesday afternoon due to positive cases of COVID-19 emerging in the building, the Beckham County Commissioners held an emergency meeting on Thursday morning to discuss what further steps would need to be taken to protect the staff and public from possible infection.

County Commissioner Carl Don Campbell says the commission have voted to temporarily restrict public assess to all Courthouse buildings.

Campbell says the decision made was based off the State Department of Health and CDC recommendations and guidelines. The Commissioners also passed a resolution based on CDC Guidelines on a Return to Work Protocol.

Campbell says anyone needing assistance or anyone who may have questions are urged to call or email any county office.
