Due to concerns for COVID-19 and positive tests within the courthouse, The Beckham County Courthouse closed at noon on Wednesday for deep cleaning.
Beckham County Commissioner Chairman Carl Don Campbell says officials are trying to get ahead of the virus before it gets out of hand.
Campbell says the courthouse will reopen on time Thursday morning and will let the public know what next steps the commission decides to take after their meeting is complete.
Campbell says not only will the courthouse receive a deep cleaning, annex buildings will be cleaned and sterilized as well.
