The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma will be providing nutritious meals and snacks to children 18 and under all summer long across central and western Oklahoma.

Two locations are located in the area.

For some Oklahoma children, the end of school means months of wondering whether or not they will have enough food to eat. The Food Bank has brought back their Summer Feeding Program for children 18 and under from June 5 through August 4.

Western Oklahoma students can get meals at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Burns Flat, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and at the Norman Smith Memorial Library in Hinton, Monday through Friday from noon to 1 p.m.

The Summer Feeding Program is a federal nutrition program that is managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and distributed through the Oklahoma State Department of Education. All meals and snacks for the program are prepared and packaged by volunteers in Hope’s Kitchen, which is the Food Bank’s production kitchen.
