In a Halloween showdown at their home field, the Arizona Diamondbacks faced off against the Texas Rangers in Game 4 of the World Series. However, it turned out to be a frightful night for the Diamondbacks as Texas exploded for 5 runs in the second inning and another 5 in the third, securing an 11-7 victory and extending their lead in the series to 3 games to 1.

At the forefront of the Rangers’ offensive onslaught were Marcus Simien and Corey Seager, the top two hitters in the lineup, who combined for an impressive 4/10 performance with a pair of home runs and a whopping 7 RBI. Oklahoma native Andrew Heaney took the mound, pitching a solid 5 innings, allowing only 1 run on 4 hits, with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks.

Making history, the Rangers became the first team in World Series history to score 5 runs in back-to-back innings, accomplishing this feat with two outs. Furthermore, they replicated a remarkable milestone achieved by the Braves in the 1991 World Series, hitting for the cycle in a single inning.

With this victory, the Rangers extended their unprecedented streak to 10 consecutive road playoff wins, setting a new standard in baseball history. Although the Diamondbacks face a challenging situation, it’s not entirely insurmountable. Only six times in World Series history has a team rallied from a 3-1 deficit to claim the championship, with the most recent occurrence in 2016 when the Cubs triumphed over the Indians. The previous instance dates all the way back to 1985.

Tonight, the Texas Rangers will aim to secure their first-ever World Series Championship in the Arizona desert. Both teams will send their Game 1 starters to the mound for Game 5, with Nathan Eovaldi representing Texas and Zach Gallen taking the hill for Arizona.
