#16 Oklahoma hits the field tonight against #14 Oregon in the Alamo Bowl being played down in San Antonio.
Tonight’s game between the Sooners and Ducks will cap a tumultuous month for OU football that started with a Bedlam loss in Stillwater, was followed the next day with the shocking announcement that head coach Lincoln Riley was headed to USC, and finally the ship was stabilized by Bob Stoops being tabbed as the interim head coach just before the announcement of Brent Venables becoming the 23rd coach in OU program history.
Both teams have multiple players missing for a variety of different reasons. One can’t help but think back to the 2006 matchup between OU and Oregon in Autzen Stadium. You remember it well right? The onside kick debacle that led to Oregon’s only with in 7 tries against Oklahoma.
