
It’s been a victorious week for the Class A and B fast pitch softball and fall baseball teams in the district tournaments. Here’s a quick rundown:
Class A Fast Pitch Softball
In the district action, several teams secured their spots in the Regional Tournament:
- Arapaho-Butler: Hosts a four-team regional, facing off against Laverne. Waukomis and Seiling complete the bracket.
- Hollis and Sentinel: Head to Sterling. Sentinel takes on the host Sterling, while Hollis goes up against B-O.
- Cyril: Hosts a four-team regional, starting with Apache. Cheyenne-Reydon and Hydro-Eakly are the other matchup.
- Navajo and Shattuck: Face off at Carnegie.
Class B Fast Pitch Softball
- MVG: Will host a regional, opening against Maud. Hammon and FCB complete the bracket.
- Leedey: Serves as a host and faces Beaver. Chatty and Grandfield are the other matchup.
Class 2A Regionals
- Merritt and Mangum: Both emerged as winners. Super Regional assignments are pending due to weather conditions.
Class 4A Regional Softball
- Elk City: Hosts a regional starting on Thursday. The Elkettes take on Pauls Valley first. McGuiness and Bridge Creek complete the lineup.
- Weatherford: Also serves as a host. The Lady Eagles face Madill first, with Marlow and Mcloud in the mix.
- Woodward: Travels to Cache for Regionals, squaring off against Ada. Clinton plays Sulphur in the first round at Newcastle.
Class A Fall Baseball
- Hydro-Eakly and Canute: Both advance to Regionals. The bobcats face Oktaha at Oktaha, with Okarche and Tushka in the mix. Canute heads to Wister to play Wister, with Am-Po and Preston completing the bracket.
Class B Fall Baseball
- Granite, Hammon, and Leedey: All secured spots in the next round. Granite takes on Mulhall-Orlando at FCB. FCB and Smithville are also in contention. Hammon travels to Calumet to face Asher, with Calumet and Big Pasture in the mix. Leedey plays Stuart at Stuart, where Roff and Caney will also compete.
