The Class 4A District 4 baseball race is coming to a close with just a few games left to determine the winner and who will host a Regional. Elk City remains unbeaten in the district after defeating Clinton for the second consecutive day, this time with a score of 16-0. Sr. Kaden Holder hit a homerun out of the park and also displayed his speed with an inside the park homer. The Big Elks have a record of 22-2 overall and 10-0 in district play, with a run differential of +100, which may come in handy next week.

Weatherford (formerly known as Wford) defeated Kingfisher 10-0 to keep up with the Elks. The Eagles are 9-0 in the district with a run differential of +78. The two teams will play each other again today in Weatherford. Regardless of the outcome, the district title will come down to the two-game series next week between Elk City and Weatherford. Game 1 will be held at Eagle Field on Monday, and Game 2 will be inside Ackley Park on Tuesday.
