A woman and 3-year-old child were treated for minor injuries on Tuesday after a semi rear-ended them on Interstate 40 near Hydro.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred just after 8 p.m. in the westbound lanes near mile marker 86 when while parked on the shoulder a 2002 Honda Odyssey driven by 26-year-old Paola L. Blanco-Castro of Oklahoma City was hit from behind by a 2020 Volvo Tractor Trailer driven by 62-year-old Krzyszytof Staniszewski of Clearwater, Florida.

Troopers said as a result, Staniszewski was transported to OU Medical Center where he was admitted in fair condition with head and arm injuries.

Blanco-Castro and a 3-year-old female passenger in the vehicle were treated and released at Weatherford Regional Hospital.
