Two Carnegie Teens Die in Caddo Co. Wreck

Two Carnegie teens were killed in a crash Wednesday night in Caddo County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the accident happened at around 7:08 p.m. on County Road 1320 near Fort Cobb.

Troopers said a 13-year-old and 15-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Due to their age, the names of the minors has not been released.

A passenger, 26-year-old Erica Mayfield of Carnegie, was flown to OU Health and has been treated and released with head injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, 33- year-old Joshua Kestler also from Carnegie, was also flown to OU Health and has been treated and released with head and trunk internal injuries.

According to the OHP, the cause of the crash is under investigation, and that both teenagers were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
