Abigail Barton of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, has been named the Sue Goodall Loyall Memorial Scholar at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Barton is a Sophomore at SWOSU majoring in Nursing.

The Sue Goodall Loyall Memorial Scholarship Program was established by Scott Loyall in honor and memory of Sue Goodall Loyall. The program provides scholarship assistance each year to a graduating senior from Butler, Hammon, Cheyenne, Thomas-Fay-Custer, Leedey or Reydon.

The Sue Goodall Loyall Memorial Scholarship Fund is stewarded by the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was established in 1977 to promote philanthropy, award scholarships, and distribute funds to support the activities and programs of SWOSU. Stolen Vehicle Quickly Recovered in Erick

Erick, OK – A stolen vehicle reported in Erick was recovered within hours thanks to quick work by the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office. According to Derek Manning, the vehicle and an attached trailer were reported stolen by
