SWOSU Enrollment Increases Significantly for Fall 2024

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has reported a significant increase in enrollment for the fall 2024 semester, marking a 7.6% rise compared to the previous year. The current total enrollment stands at 5,163, the highest since 2018.

Undergraduate enrollment at SWOSU saw an 8.8% increase, with the number of graduate students rising by 4.3%. The university welcomed 736 first-time full-time freshmen this fall, a 5.4% increase from fall 2023. Concurrent enrollment, which allows high school students to take college courses, surged by 60.3%.

Transfer student enrollment reported a slight increase, and international student enrollment saw a significant rise of 31.6%

The growth in our enrollment numbers is a testament to the quality education and supportive community that SWOSU offers,” said SWOSU President Diana Lovell. “Our dedicated faculty and staff continue to provide exceptional education and support to our growing student body. We are thrilled to see more students choosing SWOSU as their destination for higher education.”
