Salina Garza Named SWOSU Assistant Director of Admissions & Recruitment

Salina Garza will assume the role of assistant director of admissions and recruitment at Southwestern Oklahoma State University on June 1.

Garza has served various roles in the Admissions & Recruitment (A & R) Office, including admissions coordinator and administrative assistant. In those roles, she helped plan large recruiting events, admitted hundreds of new students, and offered a warm welcome to prospective students and families.

Salina has been an integral part of the Admissions and Recruitment Office for the past year. She has excelled in her roles and has been welcoming and helpful to the many students that have come through our office,” said SWOSU Director of Admissions and Recruitment Taler Alexander. “I am excited to see how she continues to improve our department as the assistant director.”

Garza received a B.S. in Kinesiology (2019) and a Master of Education (2021) from SWOSU.

SWOSU has locations in Weatherford, Sayre and Yukon.
