The future of a local hospital and the possibility of the legal use of recreational marijuana will be on Oklahoman’s ballots tomorrow.

City of Clinton residents will decide whether $11.6 million in hospital trust money can be used to fund restorations and updates to the Clinton hospital in an effort to get it up to current codes and get the hospital reopened.

The hospital has been closed for nearly three months after Alliance Health chose not to renew it’s lease agreement with the city last year.

Originally set aside in 1997, the trust funds were restricted from use by Clinton voters. If approved, the funds would go towards multiple projects inside the hospital that include repairing or adding equipment.

Voters across the state will also be deciding if recreational marijuana will be legal in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma News Network’s Brain Gan has details on State Question 820.

It was announced last week that due to the damage to the Roger Mills County Ag Pavilion, the polling place for Precincts 202 and 303 in Roger Mills County will be moved to the Baptist Church Family Center in Cheyenne for tomorrow’s election.

Polls will be open tomorrow from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
