The Arrowhead Center has embraced the pickleball mania sweeping the nation.
Two two-person teams won last week’s pickleball tournament at Elk City’s Arrowhead Center.
Elk City High School students Kyler Welch and Max Murray won the A Division, and father-son duo Kirby and Oliver Jones won the B Division.
“We want as many locals as possible to experience what the Arrowhead Center has to offer free of charge before the new year begins,” said tournament director Eric Rheaume.
According to Rheaume, two pickleball tournament divisions were needed because so many people participated.
More free activities—including yoga, a dodgeball tournament, a basketball skills competition, futsal, volleyball and another pickleball tournament—are planned for this week. See the Elk City Sports Facebook page for a complete list with days and times.
The Arrowhead Center’s new fee structure begins in January, and details are also available on the Elk City Sports Facebook page.
