NTSB Investigating Medical Helicopter Crash Near Hydro

Three people were killed in a medical helicopter crash near Hydro late Saturday night.

Air Evac Lifeteam confirmed the crash with a social media post Sunday morning saying that at 11:23 p.m. Saturday, AEL’s Operations Control Center (OCC) lost contact with the aircraft.

The company stated that the crew, based out of Weatherford, were on their way back after completing a patient care transport to Oklahoma City.

AEL teams assisted law enforcement search for the wreckage where it was found east of Hydro near the intersection of CR 1010 and CS 2490 roads.

AEL turned over the investigation to the NTSB.

The names of the fallen crew have not been released.
