While on KECO’s Exploring Energy, Senator James Lankford (R-OK) spoke about the Democrats’ Build Back Better bill and why he strongly opposed raising the debt ceiling to pay for climate-change, progressive social policy, and new entitlement spending that add even more to the country’s existing almost $29 trillion debt.

Lankford shared his opposition to several of the provisions in the bill that he believes steer the country in the wrong direction. He says the bill is currently on hold in the Senate, and that at least one Democrat opposes the bill.

Lankford also continued to call out Democrats for pushing out faith-based child-care providers.

With the bill now stalled in the senate, it isn’t expected to be considered again until after Christmas.
