The vehicle that led authorities from multiple jurisdictions on a high speed pursuit Sunday night has been located.

According to Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning, the suspect vehicle has been located in Greer County, just south of the Beckham County line.

Manning said that it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen out of Los Angeles County, California and was unoccupied when it was located. Manning warns that it appears that the vehicle got stuck, and says the suspects could be looking for another vehicle to steal in an attempt to flee the area.

Manning says the chase originated in Wheeler County, Texas.

As of 3 p.m. Monday, Manning said the suspects were possibly seen in Carter. They are described as being a man and a woman being either Hispanic or Native American. He asks the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons walking. Lock all building, residence, vehicles and check on neighbors in the Carter area.
