Elk City School Board Approves EMT Program

The Elk City School Board met Monday night for their regular monthly meeting and, among other things, approved a new program that Superintendent Mike Sparks says will give high school students an opportunity to take an EMT course that could ultimately lead to a career in health services.

Sparks said the board approved the appointment of Demerie Chervenka as an adjunct to teach the class, which will begin in January.
