Elk City Leaders Approve Ackley Park Train Track Install

During the latest meeting of the Elk City Commission, the installation of the train track at Ackley Park was approved.

City Manager Tom Ivester says J.C. Herrera’s quote of $28,000 was accepted by the Commission last week, however no word on when the installation will begin – or be completed.

The new track will accommodate the already purchased train that the City Commission purchased last month.

In other business, the Commission approved a quote from Spaces Incorporated for the remaining furniture for the Activity Center in the amount of $201,248.74.
