Interstate 40 exits in Elk City are about to get brighter.

During the latest meeting of the Elk City Commission, the Commission approved a bid received from Culver Electric to handle a project that will see new lighting installed at two on and off ramps in the city. Mayor Nick Archer outlined the approved bid.

Archer said the lights will be L.E.D. No word on when the installation of the lights will begin.

In other city business, during the meeting the Commission also approved a contract with SWODA for grant writing and administration services in the amount of $15,000.
