The Elk City Commission is scheduled to meet in regular session Wednesday afternoon, and a common item the Commission has discussed over the past several months will once again appear on the agenda.

The future of multiple structures in the city will be discussed by the Commission, as they will discuss and consider if those structures are dilapidated.

City Manager Tom Ivester says the city follows the state statute regarding the possible declaration of dilapidated buildings, and reminds the public that overall – it’s about public safety.

In all, five structures will be considered by the Commission.

The City will also receive the annual audit report regarding fiscal year 2021-2022.

Wednesday’s City Commissioners meeting is scheduled to start at 2p.m. inside City Hall.
