Elk City Commissioners are scheduled to meet Wednesday afternoon in regular session and consider a large amount of equipment purchases for the city.

All the purchases are budgeted items.

Items on the agenda the Commission will consider, among other things, is the purchase a new ambulance for just under $288,000. Other items the commission will consider includes the purchase of two thermal imaging cameras for the Elk City Fire Department in the amount of $15,000, and the consideration of a bid received for battery operated extrication tools for the Fire Department for just over $28,000.

The Commission will also consider various purchases for the city landfill and will also consider a bid received for a CNG trash truck for just over $328,000.

Later in the meeting the Commission will consider going into executive session to conduct a performance review for City Manager Tom Ivester.

It’s also expected the Commission will receive the latest sales tax numbers, which have been trending upwards since last spring.

Tomorrow’s Elk City Commissioner’s proceedings are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. inside city hall.
