DPS Investigating Apparent Hit and Run Near Shamrock, TX

Details are limited, but there have been reports of a deadly hit and run on Interstate 40 in the eastern part of the Texas panhandle this morning.

According to The Department of Public Safety, DPS officials are investigating the hit and run that took place Friday morning before 8:20 a.m. between the Oklahoma/Texas state line and Shamrock, Texas.

DPS said it appears that an individual got out of a car on the I-40 and the victim was hit by another car.

Neither the name of the victim or the driver have been released. It is unknown the condition of the victim at this time.

No arrests have been announced.
