Deadline Approaching to Request Absentee Ballot

If someone is wanting to vote by absentee in the upcoming Clinton City Council Election, the deadline to request an absentee ballot for registered voters living within Ward 3 is approaching.

According to a press release from the Custer County Election Board, potential absentee ballots must be requested by 5 p.m. Monday to receive a ballot in time for the November 14 election.

Custer County Election Board Secretary Ann Brown says applications for absentee ballots can be downloaded at ok.gov/elections or they can be picked up at the Custer County Election Board Office, located at 633 N. Sixth St. in Clinton. Absentee ballot applications should be submitted to the election board office online, by fax at 580-323-5130 or in person.

Voting officials remind that only registered voters living in Ward 3 are eligible to vote in the election. Those unsure if they are eligible to vote in the election may contact the Custer County Election Board Office at 580-323-5124.

Early voting for the election will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. November 9 and 10 at the Custer County Election Board office and there will no early voting the Monday prior to the election.

Incumbent Patch McComas will face opponent Stormie Hill in the race for the Ward 3 seat.
