A Cordell teen has been hospitalized after being involved in a two vehicle accident north of Burns Flat Tuesday afternoon.

According to the collision reported provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred 1 mile north of Burns Flat on OK-44 near country road 1130 when the 2013 Mack Truck driven by 55-year-old Mark L. Bookout of Dill City failed to stop at the intersection of the county road and the highway. Subsequently, a 2020 Ford Fusion driven by 18-year-old Kaylee A. Dudgeon struck the truck on the passenger side door while heading north on the highway.

Troopers say as a result of the crash, Dudgeon was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where she was admitted with leg injuries. She was last listed to be in fair condition.

The driver of the truck was injured.
