A Clinton woman has been charged with negligent homicide, a misdemeanor, after allegedly hitting an Elk City man on a motorized bicycle on March 1.

As a result, the collision would kill 29-year-old Mathew McComas.

According to court records, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 48-year-old Traci Brown-Armstrong on March 10, but she would turn herself in to authorities on Monday night.

The incident occurred when, according to officials, McComas failed to stop at a stop sign at a city street intersection, when Brown-Armstrong, who did not have a stop sign, struck the victim with her car. Police said the man was thrown approximately 75 feet from the point of collision.

McComas was eventually taken to Clinton AllianceHealth where he would die from his injuries.

Police said the fatality occurred in a residential area where the posted speed limit was 25 mph.
