Car Strikes Pedestrian In Weatherford

Details are limited, but a Hydro woman is recovering after being struck by a car in Weatherford.

According to a collision summary provided by the Weatherford Police Department, the incident occurred early Monday evening, just after 5p.m., in the area of Meadow Lane and Washington when the 2011 Nissan was traveling east bound around a curve in the 1300 block of Meadow Lane. Meanwhile, a pedestrian, Tressia Webb, was walking north bound across the roadway. Police said the driver failed to yield to the pedestrian and entered the west bound lane of the road.

Police said Webb was transported to Weatherford Regional Hospital, her condition was not released.
