Statewide election activity officially begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 3rd, when the candidate filing period opens, the Secretary of the Roger Mills County Election Board said today.

Candidates for state offices file with the Secretary of the State Election Board. Candidates for county offices file with the Secretary of the County Election Board.

Roger Mills County Election Board Secretary Jana Maddux said the following offices are expected to be filled this year:

Roger Mills County Clerk – 4 year term

Roger Mills County Court Clerk – 4 year term

Roger Mills County Commissioner District #2 – 4 year term

Roger Mills County Sheriff – 4 year term

Roger Mills County Assessor – 2 year unexpired term

Filing forms and information for county offices may be obtained by contacting the Roger Mills County Election Board at 833-638-7999 ex. 7 or rogermillscounty@elections.ok.gov. The Roger Mills County Election Board is located at 500 E. Broadway Ave., Cheyenne, Ok and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Filing packets for all offices are also available for download on the State Election Board’s website at oklahoma.gov/elections.

The filing period closes at 5 p.m. Friday, April 5th.

Beutler Wins Literary Award
