Anthony Moore Elected Speaker Pro Tempore of Oklahoma House

November 19, 2024

District 57 Representative Anthony Moore (R-Clinton) has been elected Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives by the Oklahoma House Republican Caucus.

He will take over the role previously held by District 29 Representative Kyle Hilbert (R-Bristow), who was elected as Speaker-Designate.

Moore says that although his role at the Capitol becomes broader in scope, representing his district remains his primary focus.

Hilbert will succeed Rep. Charles McCall (R-Atoka), who is term-limited.

In Hilbert’s absence, Rep. Moore will act as Speaker of the House during session.

The 1st Session of the 60th Legislature will begin on February 3.
