A Couple from Carnegie along with a teenager in the car were treated and released at a Lawton hospital after being hit by a Polaris Ranger near Carnegie.

The driver of the Ranger, however, was last listed to be in critical condition.

According to the accident report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred Thursday at 12:36 p.m. at the intersection of a county road and OK-58, 8 miles south of Carnegie in Caddo County when the 2020 Polaris Ranger driven by 29-year-old Chandler Pettit of Apache failed to stop at a stop sign on the county road and was struck by the 2000 Ford Explorer driven by 43-year-old Christopher McCloud of Carnegie.

As a result, Pettit was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with head, limb and trunk internal injuries.

McCloud, along with his passengers, 38-year-old Tonya Lanston and a 15-year-old female, were all treated and released at a nearby hospital for minor injuries.
