Update: Altus Man Arrested In Connection With Shooting

Altus Police have made an arrest in connection with a Friday night shooting.

According to officials the man arrested is believed to be responsible for the shooting that took place in the 1100 block of Loyadell, that hospitalized his target.

25-year-old Denzel Maytubbie of Altus was arrested Tuesday morning, after police were notified by Jackson County Memorial Hospital officials of a gunshot victim. Maytubbie was seeking treatment for gunshot wounds to his foot. He was treated, released and later transported to the Jackson County Jail on charges of shooting with intent to kill and first degree burglary.

Police say Maytubbie is suspected of forcing his way into the victims home on Friday night, and allegedly shooting the occupant twice that would prove to be a grazing wound to the head and the arm. The victim was able to provide some information to police before he was transported to Jackson County Memorial Hospital and later flown to an Oklahoma City hospital.

It was reported that two children were in the home during the attack, however they were uninjured.Update: Altus Man Arrested In Connection With Shooting
