Elk City, OK – Elk City’s 52nd Fall Festival ushered in the season.

The annual event, held the 3rd weekend in September at the Elk City Convention Center and sponsored by the Elk City Chamber of Commerce, is western Oklahoma’s largest arts & crafts show and draws thousands of visitors.

This year’s Fall Festival was Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21.

More than 4,000 attendees turned out for the two-day event, including 3,060 people on Saturday and 1,097 on Sunday.

The event featured gift items, seasonal decorations, and other home products displayed at more than 100 professional booths, and food vendors provided attendees several dining options.

The Fall Festival committee presented awards in selected booth categories along with the high school art. Awards presented in the professional booths category were Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place for fine art, photography, pottery, sculpture, and fine woods.

For over half a century, festivalgoers have celebrated autumn’s arrival and begun their Christmas shopping at the Elk City Convention Center.

For the first several years, the event was held at various outdoor locations in downtown Elk City and once in Ackley Park. The festival permanently moved to the Convention Center in 1982.

This year’s Fall Festival Committee members were Ronda Smith, Chairman, Kathy Bell, Emily & Jeff Johnson, Katherine Brown, LaDonna Thomas, Karen Touchstone and Susie Cupp.
