Oklahoma’s annual Sales Tax Holiday is just around the corner, giving shoppers a break on sales tax for clothing and footwear under $100 per item. From Friday, August 1 through Sunday, August 3, qualifying purchases made in-store, online, or through catalogs will be completely tax-free.
The tax holiday applies to any article of clothing or footwear designed to be worn on the body, as long as the item’s sale price is less than $100. This includes back-to-school essentials, fall wardrobe staples, or just a few splurges for yourself.
Where can you shop? Anywhere—online retailers, physical stores, and catalogs all qualify.
Who qualifies? Everyone! As long as the item meets the price and type requirements, it’s exempt from sales tax.
Accessories, athletic gear, rentals, and protective-use items aren’t covered.
This annual event supports both Oklahoma consumers and retailers, encouraging in-state shopping while helping families save during the busy back-to-school season.
Mark your calendars, make a list, and don’t forget to tag your shopping buddy—Tax-Free Weekend is the perfect time to stock up and save!
