Strong and severe storms are expected after midnight tonight into Friday morning across western Oklahoma.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, during the day on Friday, more storms are expected along a front and by afternoon thunderstorm coverage and severity could increase, however that is expected to take place in southeast Oklahoma.

KOCO-TV meteorologist Jonathan Conder says although there is a risk for tornadoes, it is a small risk.

Conder says the main concern is for 60-70 mph winds and 1-2 inch hail.
