A two vehicle accident near Sentinel hospitalized a Sentinel woman Monday afternoon.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at the intersection of county road N. 2160 and E. 1310, 3 miles south and 3 miles east of Sentinel when a 2024 Chevy Silverado failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection and was struck on the passenger side by the 2019 Chevy Spark driven by 55-year-old Jerri R. Boman.

As a result, Troopers said Boman was pinned inside her vehicle for 40 minutes before being freed. She would be flown to OU Trauma in Oklahoma City and admitted in fair condition with trunk internal injuries.

OHP said the driver of the pickup was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
