School Board Seats Decided in Western Oklahoma

Local voters hit up the polls Tuesday to decide, among other things, various school board elections throughout the area.

In Weatherford two seats were up for grabs that saw Matt Fast win the Ward 1 seat over Brandy Chase by obtaining 63% approval and Kyle King obtain 58% approval to take the Ward 4 seat over Lisa Grant.

In Clinton, CaraLea Kreizenbeck took Office Seat number 4 over Charlene Wassan by getting 78% of the vote. Also Clinton school district voters approved a $2.025 million bond proposition that will go towards various school improvements. Voters passed that bond issue with 81% of the yes vote.

Two school board seats in Cordell were decided yesterday as well with Cole Gregg edging out Parker Christian for the Office Number 3 seat. He would get 53% of the vote while Danielle Dick Ivey received 70% of the vote over Levi Jones to win the Office Number 4 seat on the Cordell School Board.

Elsewhere in Hammon, Nathan Torrance got 53% approval over Amber Aker to take the Office Number 4 seat on the Hammon School Board.

Finally, back in Clinton – Voters approved the franchise agreement with Oklahoma Natural Gas and the City of Clinton for an additional 25-year period by 87%.
