Press Release

In a remarkable testament to her academic mastery and dedication to excellence, Sayre’s very own Cassidy Crabb, the daughter of Danny and Jennifer Crabb has been named a National Merit Scholar Semifinalist. This prestigious achievement places her in the upper echelon of high school students across the country.

Every year, the National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes the brightest and most promising high school seniors through a rigorous selection process. To become a Semifinalist, students must achieve outstanding scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which serves as the initial screening for this highly competitive program. Over 1.3 million juniors register to take the PSAT/NMSQT and only 16,000 become semifinalists in the nation.

Cassidy Crabb, a senior at Sayre High School, demonstrated her intellectual aptitude by earning one of the highest PSAT/NMSQT scores in the nation. Her commitment to academic excellence and her tireless dedication to her studies have set her apart as a standout scholar. As a National Merit Scholar Semifinalist, Cassidy now has the opportunity to advance to the finalist level, where she will be in contention for a prestigious National Merit Scholarship. This recognition not only showcases her academic excellence but also opens doors to a wide range of scholarship opportunities and elite colleges and universities.

Sayre High School joins in celebrating Cassidy Crabb’s extraordinary accomplishments and wishes her the best of luck as she continues to pursue her academic dreams. Cassidy sets a great example for all of our students and teaches them that they can achieve their goals if they work hard.
