Elk City, OK — A Sayre man is facing multiple felony charges after a joint investigation between Elk City Police and an independent investigative organization uncovered evidence linking him to disturbing online activity involving minors, including his own child.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Beckham County District Court, 49-year-old Mickey Herman Ezell was arrested on April 16, 2025, following the seizure and forensic analysis of two phones from his residence. The investigation was initiated by Sayre Police and involved assistance from the Oklahoma State Probation Office, the Elk City Police Department, and digital forensic specialists.

Ezell is accused of engaging in graphic sexual conversations under fake identities with individuals posing as minors, soliciting sexual acts involving his underage son, and possessing child sexual abuse material.

Investigators also detailed Ezell’s use of various messaging apps to engage in sexually explicit conversations. Text messages reviewed by law enforcement reveal Ezell allegedly sent photos of a male child, which he claimed was his son, to individuals discussing illegal sexual acts. In interviews, Ezell admitted to poor judgment, claiming the images came from the internet and that he portrayed them as his son was a “mistake.”

He faces the following felony charges:

Lewd or Indecent Proposals or Acts to a Child Under 16 (21 O.S. §1123)

Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (21 O.S. §1021.2)

Offering or Transporting a Child for Child Sex Trafficking (21 O.S. §1087)

Using Access to Computers to Violate Oklahoma Statutes (21 O.S. §1958)

The court has set bond at $300,000. Ezell’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 19, 2025.
