Weatherford, OK – Rick Koch, a conservative businessman and community leader, has officially entered the race for Oklahoma State Senate District 26. The announcement came in a press release provided by Koch’s campaign, highlighting a platform centered on freedom, family values, and pro-business, pro-Trump policies.

Koch is the founder and president of ASAP Energy, a company he says has created more than 350 jobs across western Oklahoma. “I’m not a career politician. I built my company from the ground up,” Koch stated in the release. “It’s time to stand up for our values and create better opportunities for the people of District 26.”

The press release emphasized Koch’s long-standing support for former President Donald Trump and his America First agenda. “One of the best investments I ever made was when I wrote a check in 2016 to the Trump for President campaign,” Koch said. “We need his pro-business, pro-family policies in Oklahoma.”

Key priorities in Koch’s campaign include:

  • Government efficiency and lower taxes

  • Securing the border and stopping illegal immigration

  • Second Amendment advocacy

  • Opposition to government mandates and federal overreach

  • Parental rights in education

  • Anti-abortion legislation

The release describes Koch as a lifelong resident of western Oklahoma, a husband, father, and grandfather. “I’m running to be a voice for the hardworking Oklahomans so they are not forgotten by our leaders,” he said. “I’ll never back down, never sell out, and I’ll always fight for our way of life.”
