On August 24, the Roger Mills County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) to investigate a stabbing incident. Around 3:00 a.m., deputies responded to reports of an injured adult male, who was found to have sustained stab wounds.

Investigators discovered that earlier that morning, an altercation had occurred between the victim and 28-year-old Kody Mabra at a residence near State Highway 30 and Second Street in Reydon. Based on evidence gathered by OSBI special agents, it was determined that Mabra had stabbed the victim during the confrontation. After the stabbing, Mabra fled on foot but was located by deputies at a nearby residence. He was taken into custody and booked into the Roger Mills County Jail on charges of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition. No other injuries were reported in the incident. The OSBI extends its gratitude to the Roger Mills County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation and arrest.
