
Mountain Park, OK – On March 14, 2025, the Mountain Park Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate a homicide.
Around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at a residence off State Highway 183 in Mountain Park. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered 63-year-old Sandy Killian deceased. It was determined Killian passed away from apparent gunshot wounds.
During the investigation, OSBI special agents processed the scene and identified the suspect as 53-year-old Chad Carl Cummings.
Based on the information and evidence obtained, the Kiowa County District Court issued a search warrant for Cummings’ residence.
On March 14, 2025, Cummings was arrested and booked into the Kiowa County Jail on charges of First-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm After Felony Conviction.
On March 13, 2026, a Kiowa County jury found Cummings guilty and recommended life in prison for First-Degree Murder, plus ten years for Possession of a Firearm After Felony Conviction.
