Jackson Co. Fatal Accident

The cause of a fatal one vehicle crash Saturday night near Altus remains under investigation.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred 2 miles east and 2 miles south of Altus on a county road when while driving a 2007 Ford Escape, 68-year-old Loice Lennox of Frederick lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and flipped it onto it’s top.

Troopers said the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, and there were no passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

OHP also said there were no other vehicles involved in the crash.
