Elk City, OK – Great Plains Regional Medical Center (GPRMC) has received a Performance Leadership Award from The Chartis Center for Rural Health.

The Elk City hospital received the award for excellence in patient outcomes for 2025. GPRMC was one of only 10 Oklahoma hospitals recognized.

Delivering outstanding medical care to our community is a duty we take seriously,” said Corey G. Lively, CEO. “Western Oklahoma is our home, and we believe our friends, family and neighbors deserve the best providers and technologies right here in our own community. We are honored to be recognized for the lifesaving care our team provides each and every day.”

Performance Leadership Awards are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, a comprehensive and objective framework for assessing how rural hospitals are performing. INDEX benchmarks are relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health to measure performance across multiple areas impacting hospital operations and finance.

Great Plains Regional Medical Center is the largest health care provider in western Oklahoma offering a full range of medical services, including the region’s most comprehensive obstetrics and women’s health departments.
