A Newalla man died after being involved in a one vehicle accident Monday morning near Weatherford in Custer County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 69-year-old Steven Youngberg was traveling westbound on Interstate 40 Monday morning when for an unknown reason his 1995 Ford pickup went off the roadway to the left and struck a tree near mile marker 80.
OHP says Youngberg was pinned inside the vehicle before being freed by the Weatherford Fire Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Condition of both the driver and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
